Anti-Ragging Committee (2024–25)

Saraswati College of Education, Hisar is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and ragging-free environment for all students. The institution strictly adheres to the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions (2009; amended in 2016, 2021, and 2023).

Ragging in any form—physical, psychological, or verbal—is a punishable offence and is strictly prohibited on campus, in hostels, and during any college-related activities.

Composition of Anti-Ragging Committee (2024–25)

Dr. Vijender Kumar Faculty Member Coordinator Coordinates awareness drives, maintains records, and reports quarterly to the Principal.
Mrs. Punam Faculty Member Member Conducts orientation sessions and manages student grievance channels.
Dr. Pinki Counselor / Staff Member Offers counseling support and ensures sensitivity in handling complaints.
Mrs. Sharda Administrative Representative Member Ensures hostel and campus vigilance, assists in grievance verification.
Mr. Kuldeep Singh Police / NGO / Parent Representative External Member Provides external oversight and ensures impartial review of complaints.
Pooja PG Student Student Member Acts as peer mentor and supports awareness and grievance initiatives.
Muskan Fresher Student Member Represents new students and promotes positive campus culture.
Functions of the Committee
1. Preventive & Awareness Measures
  • Conducts orientation sessions for new entrants.
  • Organizes anti-ragging workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns.
  • Ensures all students and parents submit mandatory anti-ragging affidavits.
2. Monitoring & Vigilance
  • Conducts regular surprise inspections of hostels, canteens, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Reports observations confidentially to the Principal.
3. Grievance Redressal
  • Maintains a confidential mechanism for online and offline complaints.
  • Ensures prompt and fair inquiry into all reported cases.
4. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintains meeting minutes, compliance records, and quarterly reports.
  • Submits summary reports to the Principal and Governing Body.
